I noted today that Close Captioning was available over the air on my digital TV.
I was shocked and wondered how I got my information wrong about CCing. I thought DTV would nex CC.
As I looked up on the FCC website, I found that indeed there are issues for closed captioning in the all digital TV world.
IF you have a subscription TV service you may have problems receiving CC information.
You will have to configure your subscription set top box to view the CC.
Or
You will not be able to get the CC at all depending on the technical set up of the service.
If you have a converter box for an old television you should be able to see CC on the new TV.

FYI not all DVD's or videos are required to have CC.
AS A FOOTNOTE; if a video program receives federal funds then it must be 508 compliant. The information must be made accessible to hearing and site impaired citizens. MUST!
